Olive Tree in Cracked Cup | Collected Curiosities Miniature
A miniature olive tree growing from a weathered cup, like a living specimen gathered for a collector's shelf. The contrast between the aged vessel and new growth speaks to nature's remarkable ability to persist and flourish in unexpected places.
About Collected Curiosities
Collected Curiosities is inspired by a lifelong love of nature, old bottles, forgotten treasures and botanical curiosities. Each artwork explores the beauty of overlooked details and the quiet stories held by ordinary things, celebrating the objects we collect, keep and treasure.
Drawn by hand using black and coloured inks, graphite and coloured pencil, these miniature artworks are inspired by natural history collections, botanical specimens and treasured objects. Each piece is created to feel discovered, collected and quietly precious.
Reproduced on acid-free archival paper.
Limited edition prints are signed and numbered by the artist as part of an edition of 30.
Created in South Africa by artist Mellissa Bushby.
